Canceling Union Membership Payroll Deductions
- An employee who changes positions from a Nonexempt position to an Exempt position who no longer wishes to have AFSCME membership dues deducted from their pay, should contact the AFSCME office at (410) 547-1515 to advise them of that intent. The employee must also send an original signed letter to the State of Maryland Central Payroll Bureau (CPB) indicating that the employee wishes to cancel AFSCME membership deductions, along with the biweekly amount of the deductions, the employee's Social Security Number and the UMB agency code 360221.
