The Compensation Department performs salary analysis and reporting designed to keep UMB’s pay programs competitive with the external market and fair for internal employees.

Services we provide include consultation on department re-organizations, job restructuring and salary planning. We work closely with the professionals in Staffing and Career Services to ensure that job evaluation and salary administration decisions are effective and defensible.

Compensation monitors and responds to the on-going salary changes in UMB’s market, which is composed of a broad mix of industries in the local and regional area, and doctoral institutions of similar size.
